Kinda like the Stanley Cup

The NHL has the Stanley Cup, that takes a grand tour with each of the players on the winning team each year (it has been known to visit Waupaca more than once ;>).
Well, the first grade has Teddy Graham. Teddy comes home on a Friday, with a journal so you can log where he has gone and what he got to do during the weekend. Peter, of course, took Teddy on a brewery tour yesterday. Way fun.

The first photo is the start of the tour, the second is at the end....it's Miller time! or, rather It's LEMONADE time!

Go King Bee!
Peter's first pinewood derby race was today. Grandpa shaped his car in the cabinet shop and Dad helped him with the painting and weights. His car ("King Bee" modeled after the famous yellow transformer, Bumblebee) came in a close second. Watch the action!
Friday night at the movies
We went to see Hotel for Dogs last night-- way fun and all the kids loved it. After the movie ended, the 3 year-old girl (one of three sisters) at the table next to us was trying to pick up David...asking for a play date...and then asking again...and then again. They started chatting, and we moms just discreetly listened as we worked on bundling up our kids and helping with mittens, hats, jackets, zippers, "put your hat back on," more mittens, etc. Then David promptly asked his potential new friend, "Do you want to see my Peter?"
Oh no.
"He's right over there," he added pointing to his brother. phew.

Happy Thanksgiving
We have a houseful of very thankful kids, and over 40 construction paper cut-out hands listing the many, many things everyone if thankful for. Here is one of Peter's class projects this year; I think I like it because it isn't made out of hands.
He is thankful for brothers, sisters, Earth, God, family, schools, house, being nice, clean water, and Mom and Dad.....I am thankful, too.
